The Horizontal Shake Table will be consisting of a connecting rod, a vibration table, linear guide ways and an eccentric cam. The cam will be connected to a variable speed motor with the help of a shaft and flywheel assembly. Linear guide ways will ensure that the motion of the table is linear. A circular mounting plate will be placed on the vibrating plate through a T-slot, so that, the test structure can be mounted at any desired angle relative to the angle of incidence of the base motion. The table will be able to generate harmonic motions of different amplitudes and, the amplitude of base motions can be varied by changing the eccentricity of the cam. By varying the speed of the motor, the frequency content of the base motion can be varied.
